HOUSTON \u2013 If you were born and raised in Houston, you\u2019ve been to the rodeo more times than you can count, and you\u2019re somehow just learning about The Hideout, you\u2019re definitely not alone.<\/p>\n
The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo has announced its 2026 live music lineup for The Hideout, the Rodeo\u2019s own honky-tonk, and if you\u2019ve never been, this might be the year to change that.<\/p>\n
So, first things first: what is The Hideout?<\/p>\n
The Hideout is a 21-and-up dance hall located inside a large white tent on the west side of NRG Arena. <\/p>\n
It\u2019s been part of the rodeo experience for nearly 30 years, but many Houstonians don\u2019t discover it until someone finally lets them in on the secret.<\/p>\n
Inside, you\u2019ll find:<\/p>\n
A spacious dance floor<\/p>\n
Multiple bars<\/p>\n
Live music every night<\/p>\n
A more intimate concert experience than the stadium<\/p>\n
And the best part? You don\u2019t need a stadium concert ticket! <\/p>\n
As long as you\u2019re 21 or older, all it takes is general admission to NRG Park.<\/p>\n
Why people swear by it<\/p>\n
The Hideout isn\u2019t just a dance hall; it\u2019s a proving ground for artists on their way up. Big names like Blake Shelton, Keith Urban and The Chicks once played this very stage before becoming rodeo headliners.<\/p>\n
Rodeo President and CEO Chris Boleman says that\u2019s why fans should pay attention to who\u2019s playing.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe spectacular musicians that play The Hideout stage often become some of music\u2019s biggest entertainers,\u201d Boleman said. \u201cWe highly encourage attendees to come see these acts up close and personal while they still can.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Hideout is open daily from 6 p.m. to midnight during the rodeo.<\/p>\n

10 p.m. on weeknights (Monday\u2013Friday)<\/p>\n
8 p.m. on weekends (Saturday\u2013Sunday)<\/p>\n
