Dallas native and Olympic gold medalist<\/a> Sha\u2019Carri Richardson was arrested in Orange County, Fla., on Thursday, according to jail records. <\/p>\n

Richardson was charged with dangerous excessive speeding after reportedly<\/a> going 104 miles per hour while weaving through traffic and \u201cdangerously tailgating\u201d on a Central Florida highway.<\/p>\n

Richardson, 25, was booked into the Orange County jail and is being charged with dangerous excessive speeding of 100 mph or more. She has posted a bond of $500 and has since been released, according to the New York Daily News.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s the second time in less than a year<\/a> that the Olympic sprinter has arrested. She was also arrested in July of 2025 after a domestic incident with her boyfriend at Seattle\u2013Tacoma International Airport in Washington. She later apologized to boyfriend Christian Coleman<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In 2021, Richardson accepted a one-month competition ban<\/a> after testing positive for THC, the active ingredient in marijuana, and was omitted from the Tokyo Olympics roster.<\/p>\n
