{"id":144142,"date":"2026-01-30T14:33:13","date_gmt":"2026-01-30T14:33:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/144142\/"},"modified":"2026-01-30T14:33:13","modified_gmt":"2026-01-30T14:33:13","slug":"cheniere-to-introduce-fuel-gas-to-fifth-corpus-christi-expansion-train","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/144142\/","title":{"rendered":"Cheniere to introduce fuel gas to fifth Corpus Christi expansion train"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>FERC said on Thursday it granted Corpus Christi Liquefaction\u2019s January 20 request to introduce fuel gas and hot oil into the midscale Train 5 for the Stage 3 project.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this month, Cheniere <a href=\"https:\/\/lngprime.com\/americas\/cheniere-kicks-off-commissioning-at-fifth-corpus-christi-expansion-train\/174492\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">kicked off<\/a> commissioning activities at the fifth train of the Corpus Christi Stage 3 expansion project.<\/p>\n<p>Cheniere\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/lngprime.com\/americas\/cheniere-completes-fourth-train-at-corpus-christi-expansion-project\/172765\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">achieved\u00a0<\/a>substantial completion of the fourth liquefaction train at the Stage 3 project last month.<\/p>\n<p>This followed the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/lngprime.com\/americas\/cheniere-completes-first-train-at-corpus-christi-expansion-project\/145196\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">substantial completion<\/a>\u00a0of the first liquefaction train in March last year, ahead of schedule,\u00a0and the company\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/lngprime.com\/americas\/cheniere-completes-second-train-at-corpus-christi-lng-expansion-project\/159262\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">completion\u00a0<\/a>of\u00a0the second liquefaction train in August and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/lngprime.com\/americas\/cheniere-completes-third-train-at-corpus-christi-lng-expansion-project\/167523\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">the third train<\/a>\u00a0in October.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur seven-train, 10+ million-tonne-per-annum (mtpa) project continues to track ahead of schedule and on budget, and we expect the remaining three trains to achieve substantial completion in 2026,\u201d Cheniere said last month.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, Cheniere\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/lngprime.com\/americas\/cheniere-takes-fid-on-two-more-corpus-christi-lng-trains\/155086\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">made a positive final investment decision<\/a>\u00a0to build two more midscale trains at its Corpus Christi LNG plant in June last year.<\/p>\n<p>The CCL midscale trains 8 and 9 project is being built adjacent to the Corpus Christi Stage 3 project and consists of two midscale trains with an expected total liquefaction capacity of over 3 mtpa of LNG and other debottlenecking infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>Upon completion of the project, and together with expected debottlenecking and CCL Stage 3, the Corpus Christi LNG terminal will reach over 30 mtpa in total liquefaction capacity later this decade.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"FERC said on Thursday it granted Corpus Christi Liquefaction\u2019s January 20 request to introduce fuel gas and hot&hellip;\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":144143,"comment_status":"","ping_status":"","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[14],"tags":[10085,155,157,156,10086],"class_list":{"0":"post-144142","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-corpus-christi","8":"tag-cheniere","9":"tag-corpus-christi","10":"tag-corpus-christi-headlines","11":"tag-corpus-christi-news","12":"tag-ferc"},"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/144142","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/2"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=144142"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/144142\/revisions"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/144143"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=144142"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=144142"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=144142"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
