SANTA TERESA, N.M. (KFOX14\/CBS4) \u2014 The Santa Teresa Middle School was placed in a “secure status” on Tuesday morning after a student brought knives onto the campus. <\/p>\n
According to the Gadsden Independent School District, a student was caught with two knives after school staff and law enforcement responded to reports of a student possibly bringing knives to school.<\/p>\n
Gadsden ISD explained that during the “secure status,” students were kept in their classrooms and hallway use was limited as law enforcement responded to the incident.<\/p>\n
The district is calling it a “secure status” and not a “lockdown” as they said, “there was no threat inside the school.<\/p>\n
