A man is dead after Fort Worth police say he was shot in the head Wednesday evening following an argument over an order of French fries<\/a> at an apartment complex on Jeremiah Drive near West Division Avenue.<\/p>\n

Officers were called to the 9500 block around 6:30 p.m. and found an adult male with a gunshot wound; he was taken to a hospital where he later died, authorities said.<\/p>\n

Detectives with the department\u2019s Gun Violence Unit<\/a> say the dispute began when the victim refused to share his food, and that the suspected shooter fled the scene before police arrived.<\/p>\n

Witnesses helped officers identify the suspect, who is believed to live in the same complex, and authorities continue to search for him while stressing the incident appears isolated with no known broader threat to the public.<\/p>\n
