EL PASO, Ill. \u2013 A fatal crash on Interstate 39 near El Paso has left one person dead.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The crash occurred at approximately 12:05 p.m. Thursday, when a white SUV struck the back of a semi-trailer.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Woodford County Coroner Tim Ruestman has identified the victim as 37-year-old Steven Porter of Bloomington.<\/p>\n
The semi was traveling at a reduced speed due to an oversized load.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Porter, who was alone in his vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:55.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The accident is being investigated by the Woodford County Sheriff\u2019s Office, Illinois State Police, and the coroner\u2019s office.\u00a0<\/p>\n
An autopsy along with toxicology tests are pending. <\/p>\n

The semi was carrying an \u201coversized load\u201d, and was traveling at a reduced speed when the car crashed into the back of it.<\/p>\n
A driver of the car, the only person in the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n
Deputies are investigating the crash with help from the Illinois State Police.<\/p>\n
