On January 30,2026 Neil tipped his hat, put his driver away got in his golf cart and drove off to his heavenly home. \u00a0Thorston Neil Moore was born on October 18,1934 in the family home to parents Charlie Moore and Emma Stuart Moore. \u00a0He was the youngest of 11 children.<\/p>\n
Neil graduated from Roby High School in 1953. \u00a0He joined the army in Feb of 54. \u00a0He married Darlene Coker on April 7, 1956. In 2 months, they would have been married 70 years.<\/p>\n
Neil went to work for Western Electric as an installer in December of 57. \u00a0He made supervisor in 10 years. \u00a0In 1985 the company went through a divester and they changed company names several times. \u00a0He retired from Lucent in January of 1996 after 37 years in which time he travelled stateside and out of state.<\/p>\n
He is survived by his wife Darlene Coker Moore. \u00a0Son\u2019s Rocky Moore (Bonnie) Rusty Moore (Belinda). \u00a05 grand daughters, 3 grandsons and 18 great grandchildren. \u00a0He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Rena Moore Arrington, in laws, sister in law 6 brothers and 4 sisters. \u00a0Numerous nieces and nephews.<\/p>\n
Memorial service will be Tuesday February 3,2026 at 2:00 P.M. A visitation will be an hour prior to the service at the Longworth Gin, Longworth TX.<\/p>\n
