{"id":146074,"date":"2026-02-01T03:35:13","date_gmt":"2026-02-01T03:35:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/146074\/"},"modified":"2026-02-01T03:35:13","modified_gmt":"2026-02-01T03:35:13","slug":"austin-forkner-is-out-for-2026-houston-supercross-after-press-day-crash-friday","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/146074\/","title":{"rendered":"Austin Forkner is Out for 2026 Houston Supercross After Press Day Crash Friday"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>On Friday during the press day riding session ahead of round four of Monster Energy AMA Supercross, <a class=\"show_card\" href=\"https:\/\/racerxonline.com\/rider\/austin-forkner\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Austin Forkner<\/a> crashed at the end of the long rhythm section.<\/p>\n<p>This morning, Triumph Racing announced Forkner will miss today&#8217;s race, due to a hand injury from said crash.<\/p>\n<p>Triumph&#8217;s post said the following:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Unfortunately @AustinForkner sustained a hand injury during a crash on press day and will not take part in today\u2019s proceedings. Heal up fast Austin!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Forkner missed the San Diego SX main event after a crash earlier in the afternoon during qualifying resulted in a trip to the hospital. Luckily, he was not injured and competed last weekend at the Anaheim 2 SX.
