ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (January 31, 2026) \u2013 The Lubbock Christian University track and field teams compete outside of Lubbock for the first time this season over the weekend, posting strong marks at the New Mexico Team Invite at the Albuquerque Convention Center.

\nOn the men’s side, the Chaps got two new NCAA provisional marks.
\n\u00a0
\nIndividually, Daniel Sianez<\/a> \u00a0posted a time of 47.54 in the 400-meter to provisionally qualify. He placed sixth in the event overall.
\n\u00a0
\nThe Chaps also got a provisional mark in the 4X400, but this week from a different foursome. Sianez replaced Reuel Campbell<\/a> on the LCU relay with Jaualand Fields, Chris Moffett<\/a> and Aden Soto<\/a>, which placed 13th, but posted a time of 3:12.59.

\nCambell did compete at the event and had the eighth-best time in the 200meter, which he completed in 21.54 seconds. LCU also got top 10 finishes in the 600-meter from Matthew Gordon<\/a>, who placed fifth with a time of 1:20.45, and Maximus Mancilla<\/a>, who placed eighth with a time of 1:22.11.

\nIn the longer distances races, Samuel Bryan<\/a> ran well, taking seventh in the 3000-meter while placing ninth in the mile. \u00a0LCU also had jumpers at the meet, and Maurice Gray<\/a> won his flight of the long jump with a leap of 6.71 meters.

\nThe Lady Chaps also got one individual provisional mark and one from a relay team at the event.

\nLCU’s 4X400 team of Joy Egwu<\/a>, Jozlyn Arana<\/a>, Kerrigan Huynh<\/a> and Elizabeth Florez<\/a> improved again on their provisional mark, completing the race in a blistering 3:45.40. It is the fifth-fastest time in Division II this season. Arana had the individual provisional mark as well posting a time of 56:12 in the 400-meter.

\nLubbock Christian has one more regular season meet in the indoor season, competing in two weeks at the Jarvis Scott Invite at Texas Tech’s Sport Performance Center.
