Division Brewing and Growl Records are turning to the darker side of literature this week with\u00a0\u201cA Night With Poe.\u201d<\/p>\n
The event was organized by Division Brewing co-owner Tami Wadlington and a friend of hers, Julia Lilly. Wadlington and Lilly both have English degrees and are longtime Poe enthusiasts. <\/p>\n
Love and loss will echo through the crowd as actors will perform selections of Poe\u2019s work in immersive, theatrical readings starting at 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday at Growl Records. <\/p>\n
\u201cWe wanted to provide a unique production for the DFW area, and especially for the Arlington community, at a diverse and intimate venue.\u201d <\/p>\n
Wadlington owns the brewery with her husband, Wade Wadlington, and business partner, Sean Cooley. <\/p>\n
Growl Records, a record store and small venue for live performances, is owned by the brewery and connected to it by a patio. Wadlington said she and Lilly recently introduced Growl Productions, and this will be its first production. <\/p>\n
Wadlington said that Victorian Goth costumes are encouraged but not required. <\/p>\n
Tickets are $49.87 and include admission, a commemorative glass and two drinks, with nonalcoholic options available. They can be purchased online in advance or at the door if they are available. <\/p>\n
