(WTVY) -A man wearing a mask went into a home in the Wicksburg area and sexually assaulted a woman, the Houston County Sheriff\u2019s Office announced on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The suspected rapist is 28-year-old Joshua Patrick Yance of Dothan, whom investigators said they took into custody Friday following a two-week investigation that began after the alleged rape on January 12.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"figure-img img-fluid mx-auto d-block\" alt=\"Joshua Patrick Yance booking photo\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/1769988253_669_EGP6QK5OUZGX3CQXNZE5PLRABY.png\" width=\"980\" height=\"1162\" \/>Joshua Patrick Yance booking photo(Houston County Jail)<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The sheriff\u2019s office statement said deputies identified Yance after a string of interviews with several people. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The statement did not reveal the age of the victim or additional information about the alleged crime.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Yance is being held without bond in the Houston County Jail. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\">Download the WTVY News4 app to get alerts and stories the moment they are published.
