{"id":14727,"date":"2025-10-21T23:20:06","date_gmt":"2025-10-21T23:20:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/14727\/"},"modified":"2025-10-21T23:20:06","modified_gmt":"2025-10-21T23:20:06","slug":"annual-trunk-or-treat-event-at-plano-church-big-draw-for-local-trick-or-treaters-shaw-local","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/14727\/","title":{"rendered":"Annual trunk or treat event at Plano church big draw for local trick-or-treaters \u2013 Shaw Local"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-xb1qmn-0 gBIiEi body-paragraph\">Around 160 costumed children and their families enjoyed some Halloween fun at the 22nd Annual Trunk or Treat event at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shawlocal.com\/tags\/plano\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.shawlocal.com\/tags\/plano\/\">Plano<\/a> Methodist Church on Oct. 12. <\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-xb1qmn-0 gBIiEi body-paragraph\">The event featured around 20 decorated trunks, offering candy, games and festive Halloween displays.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-xb1qmn-0 gBIiEi body-paragraph\">Several attendees donated to the collection drive for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shawlocal.com\/kendall-county-now\/2024\/07\/03\/kendall-county-food-pantry-gets-763500-in-federal-funds-for-building-improvements\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.shawlocal.com\/kendall-county-now\/2024\/07\/03\/kendall-county-food-pantry-gets-763500-in-federal-funds-for-building-improvements\/\">Kendall County Community Food Pantry<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-xb1qmn-0 gBIiEi body-paragraph\">\u201cMany thanks to the community for your generous support and participation in making this event a success,\u201d the church said in a release.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-xb1qmn-0 gBIiEi body-paragraph\">Children in attendance voted for their favorite decorated trunk. <\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-xb1qmn-0 gBIiEi body-paragraph\">First place went to Greg Gould\u2019s \u201cSanta\u201d trunk. Second place was awarded to Melanie Krapausky for her \u201cFishers of Men\u201d trunk.
