These rings represent their fourth State Championship in program history, first since 2008. The <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.kristv.com\/sports\/friday-night-fever\/calallen-ends-17-year-drought-top-ranked-team-wins-uil-4a-di-state-championship\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Wildcats took down Pleasant Grove 5-3 in Round Rock<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>            <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/1770020186_994_.jpeg\" alt=\"Calallen Baseball State Championship ring 2025\"  width=\"1280\" height=\"960\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Larissa Liska<\/p>\n<p>Calallen senior shortstop Drayson Gamez told KRIS 6 Sports Director Larissa Liska that this ring was worth waiting.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt means a lot to me obviously because I\u2019ve been working for this my whole life,&#8221; Gamez said. &#8220;I love all of the different colors, the maroon and white. It says my name on it, No. 7 and it has all of our playoff games in here so that\u2019s really cool.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>            <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/1770020186_443_.jpeg\" alt=\"Calallen baseball players receive 2025 UIL 4A-DI State Championship rings\"  width=\"1280\" height=\"855\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Larissa Liska<\/p>\n<p>Calallen\u2019s State MVP pitcher and outfielder senior Drayton Mitchell loved the unique details in the ring.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy favorite thing about it is it says legendary on the bottom of it,&#8221; Mitchell said. &#8220;Plus it has our record and playoffs on the inside of it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>            <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/1770020186_680_.jpeg\" alt=\"Drayton Mitchell 2025 State Championship baseball ring\"  width=\"1280\" height=\"960\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Larissa Liska<\/p>\n<p>The Wildcats graduated their clutch hitter and closer on the mound, but they return a lot of experience and the young guys have shown they can step up and fill the roles.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLike we set the standard for the younger guys and it helps us in practice to work for it to get back there and win it all again,\u201d Gamez said.<\/p>\n<p>            <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/1770020186_247_.jpeg\" alt=\"Calallen baseball head coach Steve Chapman with 2025 State ring\"  width=\"1280\" height=\"960\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Larissa Liska<\/p>\n<p>Liska had honor of being the Master of Ceremonies for the ring ceremony. A full circle moment for the Sports Director after covering many of this years seniors in 2022 when their <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.kristv.com\/sports\/friday-night-fever\/oil-belt-little-league-is-junior-league-world-series-bound\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">OilBelt team won the Junior League World Series in Michigan<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s crazy how fast time flies by with all of our guys, and we all worked for this,&#8221; Mitchell said. &#8220;Nothing was handed to us on the way here and we fought for this.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Calallen baseball has a few more scrimmages, but they officially start their season at the McAllen ISD Tournament Feb. 19.
