EL PASO, Texas (KTSM<\/a>) \u2014 Sun Metro will host a series of pop-up meetings for riders and the community to learn about planned changes for El Paso\u2019s transit system.<\/p>\n

The planned changes will increase route frequencies, reduce travel times, and reshape service by streamlining existing routes, introducing new ones, and discontinuing routes with low or no ridership, the City of El Paso said in a news release.<\/p>\n

Sun Metro looking at making major changes next year <\/a><\/p>\n

The changes stem from Sun Metro Rising, a comprehensive study of Sun Metro\u2019s transit system, that was guided by community feedback and identified key updates to make service more efficient, reliable, and better aligned with riders\u2019 needs, the City said.<\/p>\n

These updates, set to begin this June, will bring \u201cone of the most significant enhancements to El Paso\u2019s public transit in years, improving connections to jobs, schools, healthcare services, and other essential destinations,\u201d the City said.<\/p>\n

Riders are encouraged to attend a series of pop-up public meetings to learn about route changes and how the new system will work.<\/p>\n
