I’m bringing it to you because I am genuinely, unapologetically over-the-moon about the concert news we’re getting ready to share. If you lived through 2025’s concert drought, you already know why this matters so much.

Last year was, without exaggeration, one of the saddest, thinnest concert seasons I can ever remember. Shows were scattered, the big tours skipped us, and the things that did come through Lubbock barely made a ripple. Sure, some of you metalheads and alternative folks found a few gems, but when it came to the kind of rock we celebrate on FMX, it was straight-up weak sauce.

But here’s the best part: that’s behind us. All of it. Because 2026 is gearing up to fire off a one-two punch that will completely flip the narrative—even if nothing else gets added to the calendar. These two shows alone are enough to crown the year a winner.

🔥 The Concert Drought Is Over—And 2026 Is Coming In Swinging

I’m tied up on what I can reveal, but I can drop a nugget about the smaller show. It’s headed to Jake’s Backroom, and let me tell you: it will 100% sell out. I’m stunned this band is even playing such an intimate room. They should’ve already graduated to much bigger venues, but some magical cosmic glitch is bringing them right back to the Backroom. If you’ve ever wanted a “see them before they outgrow this place forever” moment, this is it. Do not sleep on tickets.

Read More: Lubbock DJ Taken Down By Treacherous Gallbladder

Now, about the big show? Let’s just call it Very Big with capital letters. The kind of big that gets people texting each other in all caps. The kind of big that reminds you why live rock still matters. I won’t risk saying more yet, but stay locked in—announcements could drop any day now, and I promise you: it’s the good stuff.

How To Have The Best Time At Lubbock’s Beautiful Buddy Holly Hall

Lubbock’s beautiful Buddy Holly Hall hosts all types of events- from comedy, Broadway, live music, and more!
