Seeing him turn a sidewalk into a mini metal show just feels right.<\/p>\n<p>Who Is Dr. Simi?<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Simi is the mustached, lab-coat-wearing mascot for Farmacias Similares, one of the largest pharmacy chains in Mexico known for affordable generic medicine- a pharmacy and clinic I tend to go to when I cross the border! Fans started bringing Dr. Simi plush dolls to <a href=\"https:\/\/remezcla.com\/music\/mexican-fans-are-throwing-dr-simi-plushies-to-singers-heres-how-social-media-is-reacting\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">concerts and tossing them onstage<\/a>, and artists embraced it. There\u2019s no stage and no setup- just pure commitment to the moment, the music, and the performance!<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s the kind of thing that stops people in their tracks, whether you\u2019re walking by in real life or scrolling past it online.<\/p>\n<p>I feel like this is something you just have to live in order to understand it; it\u2019s Borderland culture in a nutshell: music, personality, and a shared sense of humor that doesn\u2019t need much explanation.
