GRAPEVINE, TEXAS (February 2, 2026) \u2013 Grapevine Vintage Railroad is pleased to announce its return to
the tracks and the Season Opener Weekend on Saturday, February 21 and Sunday, February 22.
Each year after Santa\u2019s North Pole Express\u00ae, Grapevine Vintage Railroad takes a six-week pause for
maintenance and enhancements. This season begins with an exciting upgrade as the sixth and final
historic coach is now fully climate-controlled for extra passenger comfort. The 100-year-old coaches will
be shining and ready to welcome guests, and each family will receive a complimentary commemorative
keepsake to mark the Season Opener weekend. Throughout the year, the railroad will offer a variety of
family-friendly excursions along with adults-only wine and craft brew trains.
Guests can enjoy a variety of regular weekend excursions throughout the season and tickets are on sale
now:<\/p>\n

The Cotton Belt Route begins in Grapevine\u2019s Historic Main Street District at the Cotton Belt
Depot. Passengers take a trip through six different cities in Tarrant County before arriving in the
Historic Stockyards. Once there, riders can explore before re-boarding the train and returning to
Grapevine.<\/p>\n

The Stockyards Trinity River Excursion is a 45-minute train excursion that departs from Historic
Stockyards Station in Fort Worth. The excursion crosses the West Fork of the Trinity River,
passes Montgomery Plaza and travels through Trinity Park before returning to the Stockyards.<\/p>\n

The Grapevine Bear Creek Short Line excursion starts in Historic Grapevine and runs 90
minutes. This is a great opportunity for families to get a taste of American railroading history if
they\u2019re unable to attend a full-day excursion.
Grapevine Vintage Railroad also offers Special Event Trains throughout the year, including holiday
