EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14\/CBS4) \u2014 Police said a man was injured and another was arrested after a shooting was reported Sunday afternoon in Central El Paso. <\/p>\n

According to the El Paso Police Department, Cesar Vite Pineda was arrested after a shooting happened at around 3:56 p.m. in the 2500 block of Morehead Avenue, near Alabama Street.<\/p>\n

Police stated the shooting injured a 58-year-old man.<\/p>\n

KFOX14\/CBS4 camera crews captured the moment when it appears the victim was airlifted to a hospital. <\/p>\n

Police did not reveal information regarding the victim’s condition. <\/p>\n

On social media, EPPD released bodycam video showing what appears to be a SWAT standoff ending with the suspect’s arrest (dramatic music added by police).<\/p>\n

On February 1st, 2026 officers responded to the 2500 block of Morehead to a report of a shooting<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

No information was provided regarding what might have triggered the shooting. <\/p>\n

Jail records show Pineda was booked into the El Paso County Jail and charged with three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, with a combined bond set at $150,000.<\/p>\n

According to jail records, as of Monday afternoon, Pineda remains in jail.<\/p>\n
