{"id":149218,"date":"2026-02-03T16:11:07","date_gmt":"2026-02-03T16:11:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/149218\/"},"modified":"2026-02-03T16:11:07","modified_gmt":"2026-02-03T16:11:07","slug":"city-of-gregory-implements-address-numbering-rules-to-boost-911-response","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/149218\/","title":{"rendered":"City of Gregory implements address numbering rules to boost 911 response"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>City officials said starting March 1, all residential and commercial properties must display official street numbers or face fines.<\/p>\n<p>GREGORY, Texas \u2014 Starting March 1, 2026, the City of Gregory will enforce new address numbering requirements for all residential and commercial buildings to improve 911 emergency response and public safety.<\/p>\n<p>The City of Gregory said under the new ordinance, every property must display its official street number assigned by the city\u2019s 911 coordinator.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Numbers must be clearly visible from the street, at least three inches tall, in a contrasting color, and placed on or near the main entrance.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Properties with fences must also display the number at the gate.<\/p>\n<p>Yard signs with address information are allowed, but do not replace the required building numbers.<\/p>\n<p>Property owners will not receive a certificate of occupancy until the correct 911 address numbers are displayed.
