I was a child during the pinnacle of indoor playground greatness. Like a human-child-sized hamster habi-trail, our indoor play areas were able to run us ragged after we got amped up on burgers, fries, and sodas. Then something sad happened: restaurants became brutalist gray boxes without hamburger-shaped seats, let alone ball pits.<\/p>\n

Luckily, our newest Taco Villa is here to buck that trend.<\/p>\n

Taco Villa’s Newest Location Shows Lubbock’s Growth<\/p>\n

Taco Villa just opened a big, beautiful location in far South Lubbock<\/a>, 130th and Slide, just past Loop 88. It’ll be a wonderful asset to the many Lubbockites who have homes out there and will see robust business from all over town after we all begin to drive our new Loop.

I was very honored to be invited to the preview night of this new Taco Villa, and here’s what I noticed. It’s larger than other locations, because not only does it have a very fun-looking play area, but it also has tables directly adjacent to the play area that parents can sit at. This area is separated by a clear door, allowing the kids to enjoy being kids while the main dining area won’t hear it. It’s a very smart design choice.<\/p>\n

This location also serves milkshakes (which are delicious) and alcohol, making it perfect for whatever mood you’re in.<\/p>\n

My Honest Review<\/p>\n

I love Taco Villa. Its food that’s fast, but its not fast food. It’s easy to eat healthy and inexpensively at Taco Villa, so it’s a staple in my life. This new location is laid out well, has an incredibly friendly and competent staff, and I even tried something new. I never got the churro sticks before. GET THEM, they are so good!<\/p>\n

Lubbock loves Taco Villa, and now South Lubbock has a convenient location to enjoy, including the kiddos.<\/p>\n

Where to Experience Lubbock’s Signature Cocktail, The Chilton <\/p>\n

Lubbock’s signature cocktail is the crisp and refreshing Chilton. Vodka, freshly squeezed lemon juice, soda water, and salt combine together to make a cocktail as electric as a West Texas thunderstorm. Here are some bars and restaurants to try this Lubbock original.<\/p>\n
