A pastor from Arlington’s True Grace Church was charged with indecency with a child for an alleged 2008 incident, an arrest affidavit showed.<\/p>\n
IRVING, Texas \u2014 A pastor for an Arlington-based church was arrested and charged for indecency with a child-sexual contact, a second-degree felony, stemming from an allegation from 2008, according to an arrest warrant affidavit.<\/p>\n
An arrest affidavit obtained by WFAA stated that the victim, a relative of the suspect, told police on June 20, 2025 the incident happened in the summer of 2008 when she was 14 years old. According to the victim’s testimony, she was in a Irving apartment with Troyce Hernandez, 50, when he started touching her while watching a movie.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The victim told police Hernandez became erect while touching her back and stomach, then covered himself with a pillow, according to the affidavit. Police interviewed Hernandez, and he told police he “did not remember doing that but did not deny that it occurred,” the affidavit stated.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Investigators said Hernandez confirmed he lived in Irving within the timeframe of the reported incident.<\/p>\n
Based on the facts gathered by police, an arrest warrant was issued for Hernandez and he was arrested on Jan. 29, 2026, the affidavit stated. Hernandez was booked into Dallas County Jail, but was not listed in jail logs as of this writing.<\/p>\n
Hernandez is a pastor at True Grace Church, posts from the\u00a0church’s social media account shows<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n Photos showed he preached on stage as recent as Jan. 18<\/a>, but was not posted in the most recent Sunday service on Feb. 1<\/a>.<\/p>\n
