Dallas-based OpenKey, a pioneer in using smart devices to unlock hotel rooms, has been acquired by Canary Technologies, a leader in hotel guest management technology. The investment builds upon Canary\u2019s existing Mobile Key platform to create the most advanced and comprehensive solution set on the market.<\/p>\n

With OpenKey\u2019s robust access options and door lock partnerships, San Francisco-based Canary further expands its options for mobile keys to additional door lock models and manufacturers.<\/p>\n

Founded in 2014, OpenKey helped pioneer mobile key access for hotels, resorts, and casinos worldwide. Adding OpenKey\u2019s capabilities and coverage to Canary\u2019s #1 Guest Engagement Platform will boost the industry\u2019s adoption of mobile-first guest engagement, the company said.<\/p>\n

The acquisition will enable more global hoteliers to access Canary\u2019s extensive, AI-powered Guest Management System, which includes Mobile Check-In, AI Guest Messaging, Digital Tipping, and Dynamic Upsells, the company said.<\/p>\n
