The Rustic isn\u2019t just for Uptown Dallas music lovers anymore. The country music hot spot is opening a second location this summer at Grandscape. <\/p>\n
When the new venue opens in The Colony\u2019s entertainment district, guests can expect a nightly lineup of local musicians, wood-grilled dishes, and a space built for social gatherings and creating memories.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen people walk through the doors, we want them to feel like they\u2019ve stepped into a neighborhood tradition, even on their first visit,\u201d said Josh Sepkowitz, co-owner and co-CEO of FreeRange Concepts, The Rustic\u2019s parent company.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis location lets us welcome Dallas\u2019 northern communities into what we\u2019ve been building for years\u2014a place where good food meets live music,\u201d he added in a statement.<\/p>\n

\u2018Rooted in Texas hospitality\u2019<\/p>\n
The new location at 5805 Grandscape Blvd. occupies the former Lava Cantina space, a concert hall known for rock shows and high-energy crowds. The Rustic is reimagining that stage-forward footprint with its unique combination of hand-crafted American food, an extensive premium beverage program, and a variety of local Americana artists.<\/p>\n
The Rustic aims to preserve \u201cthe spirit of live music while giving the venue a new identity rooted in Texas hospitality.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThis project is an exciting expansion opportunity for the brand,\u201d said Kyle Noonan, co-owner and co-CEO of FreeRange Concepts. \u201cWe\u2019re taking a venue that already had a heartbeat and giving it a new rhythm\u2014one built around Americana music, local and regional dining favorites and a casual atmosphere that invite people to stay awhile.\u201d<\/p>\n
Food and drink take their cues from the same local-first mindset as the music, with Texas brews behind the bar and dishes that will make concert goers\u2019 mouths water between sets. The goal is simple: make it easy for neighbors, date nights, and groups to settle in, discover new artists, and turn a regular evening into something worth repeating, FreeRange Concepts said.<\/p>\n
Grandscape location \u2018a natural fit\u2019<\/p>\n
The planned Grandscape opening adds a new chapter to The Rustic\u2019s story, bringing more live music into one of the region\u2019s busiest entertainment corridors. Surrounded by iconic attractions like NFM, Scheels, and Andretti Indoor Karting & Games, the venue will give the district a place to gather when the show starts, strengthening the area\u2019s sense of community through live music, food, and shared experiences.<\/p>\n
As with its Uptown namesake, guests at The Rustic in Grandscape can enjoy wood-grilled, made-from-scratch dishes, daily happy hours, family-style brunch on Saturdays and Sundays, live music five days a week, and the warm, laid-back hospitality that has defined the brand for more than a decade.<\/p>\n
The partners said opening at Grandscape was \u201ca natural fit,\u201d bringing together two brands focused on creating immersive, experience-driven destinations that combine food, entertainment, and community.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Rustic is a natural addition to Grandscape because it brings together everything our destination is built on \u2014 great food, live entertainment and a strong sense of community,\u201d said Ryan Blumkin, vice president of Grandscape. \u201cThis venue enhances our live music offering and gives guests another reason to stay longer, gather together and experience something memorable every time they visit.\u201d<\/p>\n

This new spot will mark The Rustic\u2019s second location in North Texas and its fifth in Texas, continuing the brand\u2019s expansion into high-traffic, entertainment-driven markets that align with its large-format, experiential model.<\/p>\n
