Don’t get me wrong, guys. Lubbock is a friendly place. We all wave, hold the door open for one another, and say “sir” and “ma’am” like our mama’s are watching. But, even still, all of us are absolutely judging one another silently and, albeit, politely, usually from inside our cars or between the folds in our blinds…<\/p>\n

Lord knows nobody prefers Walmart, but we all end up there whether we like it or not. If it’s 35 degrees and you’re in shorts, we are probably judging. If it’s 65 and you are bundled up like we’re in Alaska, also judging. You are being judged every single time you hit the streets of Lubbock for a cruise. Did you use your turn signal? Did you slow down to let the old lady in the PT Cruiser get in front of you? Your order, where you get it, and how seriously you take it. The same goes for gas stations.
