Residents\u2019 biggest concern is that the proposed treatment plant would discharge treated wastewater directly into the Helotes Creek watershed, which feeds into the Edwards Aquifer\u2014Bexar County\u2019s and south-central Texas. <\/p>\n
The new housing development is expected to include nearly 3,000 homes.
