SAN ANTONIO – Authorities are investigating after a person was fatally struck by a train on the North Side.<\/p>\n
Around 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday, first responders were called to the scene of an incident involving a train near the corner of Wetmore Road and Broadway.<\/p>\n
When crews arrived, they found a middle-aged male with severe injuries. The victim, who has yet to be identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n
Investigators say that the male had been walking on the tracks where he should not have been, and got stuck on a bridge when a freight train was approaching.<\/p>\n
