\t\t\t\t\t\t\tSt. David’s HealthCare<\/a> acquired ownership of six Austin Emergency Center<\/a> locations Feb. 1.<\/p>\n

The Central Texas hospital system is aiming to meet an increased demand for emergency care from more Austin-area patients, David Huffstutler, president and CEO of St. David\u2019s HealthCare, said in a news release.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs our population grows, local emergency rooms continue to see high patient volumes,\u201d Huffstutler said. \u201cThese acquisitions are strategically designed to ease pressure on large medical centers and expand access to high-quality emergency care closer to home for Central Texans.\u201d<\/p>\n

The following Austin Emergency Centers across Austin and Pflugerville are now St. David’s Emergency Centers:<\/p>\n

Anderson Mill: 13435 Hwy. 183 N., Ste. 311, AustinArboretum: 10407 Jollyville Road, AustinWells Branch: 15100 FM 1825, PflugervilleEast Riverside: 2020 E. Riverside Drive, AustinSouth Lamar: 4015 S. Lamar Blvd., AustinMueller: 1801 E. 51st St., Bldg. H, AustinSt. David’s acquired the emergency centers from ZT Corporate<\/a>\u2014a company under Altus Community Healthcare<\/a>.<\/p>\n

St. David’s now has 13 freestanding emergency centers across Central Texas. The hospital system acquired ownership of <\/a>two SignatureCare<\/a> emergency centers in Southwest Austin and Pflugerville in May.<\/p>\n

The new St. David\u2019s centers are staffed nurses trained in emergency care and board-certified physicians who are affiliated St. David’s. Treatment is available for a range of conditions, including:<\/p>\n

Patients requiring specialized services or inpatient admission may be transferred from the emergency centers to St. David’s hospitals.<\/p>\n

The Anderson Mill, Arboretum and Wells Branch locations are extensions of St. David’s North Austin Medical Center<\/a>. The East Riverside and Mueller centers are extensions of St. David’s Medical Center <\/a>in Central Austin while the South Lamar location is connected to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center<\/a>, according to St. David’s information.<\/p>\n
