{"id":152985,"date":"2026-02-06T01:00:50","date_gmt":"2026-02-06T01:00:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/152985\/"},"modified":"2026-02-06T01:00:50","modified_gmt":"2026-02-06T01:00:50","slug":"wilco-officials-break-ground-on-cr-110-project-in-georgetown","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/152985\/","title":{"rendered":"WilCo officials break ground on CR 110 project in Georgetown"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThe extension of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wilcotx.gov\/1511\/CR-110-North\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">CR 110<\/a> officially kicked off Feb. 5 with county and city officials celebrating the project\u2019s groundbreaking.<\/p>\n<p>About the project<\/p>\n<p>Williamson County will extend CR 110, connecting CR 111 and Rockride Lane to Patriot Way and Sam Houston Avenue. The project to build a three-lane road also includes drainage structures, signs and pavement markings, according to a county news release.<\/p>\n<p>The connection will help facilitate safe access for residents and emergency services, according to county documents.<\/p>\n<p>The project is also necessary because of the \u201ctremendous residential growth in this part of the county,\u201d Williamson County Precinct 4 Commissioner Russ Boles said at the groundbreaking ceremony.<\/p>\n<p>Project costs come out to $6.5 million, funded through the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wilcotx.gov\/174\/Road-Bond\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">2023 Williamson County Road Bond<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Joe Bland Construction is the contractor for the project, which is anticipated to be completed in the fall. Engineering company RPS began the initial project design phase in spring 2024.<\/p>\n<p>What they\u2019re saying<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat makes [the CR 110 extension] even more important is that it shows the continuity that the county has a plan and that we\u2019re working for our citizens,\u201d Boles said. \u201cWe see the traffic, too.
