KOHALA COAST, Hawaii \u2013 The UT Arlington men’s golf team completed its first day at the Amer Ari Invitational Thursday. As a team, the Mavericks finished with a 14-over-par 302 at the Mauna Lani Resort north course.<\/p>\n
Three different players tied for the top finish for UTA. Ajay Morris<\/a>, Arth Sinha<\/a> and Michael Chevalier<\/a> all turned in rounds of three-over-par 75’s, placing them in a tie for 107th in individual play.<\/p>\n Morris finished with a team-best four birdies. The freshman also added 10 pars, two bogeys as well as a double and triple bogey to his card. Sinha and Chevalier each birdied three holes, including the par 5 hole 2. Chevalier opened his round with seven pars in a row.<\/p>\n Matthew Broder<\/a> finished the day with a five-over 77 and Nicholas Lyman<\/a> ended with a six-over 78. The Mavericks as a team are currently in 20th place.<\/p>\n Round two of the Amer Ari Invitational begins at 11:30 a.m. CST Friday. Live scoring can be found via Scoreboard<\/a>.
