LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – When we last met with Blaire Elbert in 2024<\/a>, she was making a name for herself in the country music capital of the world, Nashville.<\/p>\n

Now, she\u2019s keeping herself busy in the studio.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve been doing a lot of songwriting and I have a lot of great songs that I\u2019m so happy to be in the process of recording right now,\u201d Elbert said. \u201cI have a couple up my sleeve so it\u2019s going to be a big year for music for me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Elbert\u2019s journey so far has taken her all over the country, playing gigs in Iowa, Montana, Arkansas and even a few shows back here at home in the lone star state. She says doing these shows and traveling has been a great learning experience.<\/p>\n

\u201cEvery opportunity that I get with music in this step of my career is a big goal for me,\u201d Elbert said. \u201cI\u2019ve been doing music for a long time, but myself as a solo artist, this is my first time for a lot of this stuff.\u201d<\/p>\n

But now the whole world is about to watch as Elbert embarks on a new chapter in her career.<\/p>\n

She will be a part of this upcoming season of NBC\u2019s \u2018The Voice\u2019, where she\u2019ll be performing in the blind auditions for the upcoming season\u2019s coaches including Adam Levine, John Legend and Kelly Clarkson, hoping for all of the chairs to turn. <\/p>\n

\u201cThis seemed like the perfect time,\u201d Elbert said. \u201cI\u2019ve been doing a lot with my music up until now, so when this door presented itself to me, I was beyond excited.\u201d<\/p>\n

Should one coach hit their button, Elbert will move on to the battle stage of the competition. She knows plenty of people from her old stomping grounds will be watching in anticipation.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am definitely representing Lubbock during my audition for this season,\u201d Elbert said. \u201cIt\u2019s my hometown, it\u2019s where I got my start, it\u2019s where I started my love for music and really gave me this path and led me to where I\u2019m at now.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2018The Voice: Battle of Champions\u2019 premieres February 23rd at 8:00 p.m. on KCBD. This opportunity has been in the works for quite sometime and now that the time has come, Elbert says she can\u2019t wait to use her voice to showcase her talents to the world.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have a countdown for sure for the season premiere and I am so excited for y\u2019all to see what\u2019s going to happen in the season.\u201d<\/p>\n
