Fort Worth is moving forward with the design of a playground and trail expansion for the city\u2019s Lasater Park in north Fort Worth.<\/p>\n

City officials held a public meeting Jan. 20 to present a preliminary master plan concept and gather final input after an initial public meeting in October. January\u2019s was the final public meeting before the city moves into design.<\/p>\n

The city dedicated the park at 1500 E. Harmon Road<\/a> in 2004. Amenities include benches, picnic tables, electricity and a water feature.<\/p>\n

The Fort Worth City Council accepted the donation of 13.197 acres in November 2004 for the park. Hillwood RLD LP developed the park to serve the Lasater Addition subdivision south of Harmon Road and east of Blue Mound Road. On April 24, 2007, the City Council approved the dedication of 10.889 acres as an addition to the park, giving Lasater total acreage of 24.086 acres. Today, it contains 25.133 acres.<\/p>\n
