KOHALA COAST, Hawaii \u2013 Day two of the Amer Ari Invitational is in the books and the UT Arlington men’s golf team saw individual movement on the leaderboard. Four of the five Mavericks competing at the tournament improved their position in the individual standings.<\/p>\n
Arth Sinha<\/a> led the way for UTA, carding an even-par 72 that moved him up 13 spots into 94th place. Sinha \u2014 like all five Mavericks in round two \u2014 sank three birdies on the day. The freshman’s birdies came on holes 15, 16 and 18. Sinha has turned in rounds of 75-72 for a 3-over-par 147.<\/p>\n Right behind Sinha was Michael Chevalier<\/a>. The junior held serve most of the day, sitting at even through 11 holes while making par on seven consecutive holes on the back nine. Chevalier wrapped his day up with two bogeys in his final three holes, finishing with a 1-over par 73. That moved the junior up six spots to 101st overall and to 4-over-par for the tournament.<\/p>\n Matthew Broder<\/a> and Ajay Morris<\/a> are right next to each other on the leaderboard at 108 and 107 respectively. Broder also turned in a 1-over 73 that moved him up six spots on the individual leaderboard. The junior was 2-under on the back nine.<\/p>\n Morris was 2-over-par 74 for the day and is 5-over-par for the tournament. Nicholas Lyman<\/a> rounds the Mavericks out with a 10-over-par 154 for the tournament. Lyman birdied three holes in a row in round two.<\/p>\n The Mavericks as a team sit in 20th place with a team score of 18-over-par. The final round of the Amer Ari Invitational begins at 11:30 a.m. CST Saturday. Live scoring can be found via Scoreboard<\/a>.
