Day One Results — Charlie Thomas Texas A&M\u00a0Invitational<\/a><\/p>\n COLLEGE STATION, Texas \u2013\u00a0The UT Arlington track and field team opened competition at the Charlie Thomas Invitational with a strong showing on Friday at the Fasken Indoor Track, highlighted by two top-four finishes and multiple personal records.<\/p>\n Eliza Lemberga<\/a> led the way for the Mavericks, placing fourth in the pentathlon with a personal best score of 4,052 points. After today, her performance in the pentathlon currently ranks 15th in the nation.<\/p>\n In the women’s weight throw, senior Jaalah Puryear<\/a> earned a fourth-place finish after matching her personal-best mark of 16.72 meters. Esther Adidire also posted a personal record in the event, throwing 15.75 meters to secure an eighth-place finish.<\/p>\n Freshman Arieanna Mcpeak<\/a> also posted a personal best in the women’s long jump (5.82m), earning ninth place.<\/p>\n Ardo Cserni<\/a> tied his personal best in the men’s pole vault (4.60m), as did Bryce Vaughn<\/a> in the men’s long jump with a 6.63m mark.<\/p>\n NEXT UP #BuckEm<\/p>\n FOLLOW ALONG \u00a0<\/p>\n
