Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) in an increasingly angry primary race for US Senate, while several Republicans are duking it out for the same seat. <\/p>\n<p>Crockett appeared on \u201cThe View\u201d last month, before the FCC\u2019s \u201cequal time\u201d announcement.<\/p>\n<p>Incumbent Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas), state Attorney General Ken Paxton, and Rep. Wesley Hunt (R-Texas) are all fighting for the GOP nomination and all could be entitled to time on \u201cThe View\u201d if the FCC ultimately rules against ABC and its parent Disney company.<\/p>\n<p>The Texas primary is set for March 3.<\/p>\n<p>The FCC provides for a \u201cbona fide\u201d exception to the rules, which shields cable news shows from requirements of having to provide equal time to opposing candidates.<\/p>\n<p>But the agency says it hasn\u2019t been presented with \u201cany evidence that the interview portion of any late-night or daytime television talk show program on the air presently would qualify for the \u2018bona fide\u2019 news exemption.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>President Trump has long railed against \u201cThe View\u201d and many of its lefty hosts.<\/p>\n<p><img style=\"aspect-ratio:1.7414966;display:block\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-modal-image=\"38418610\" width=\"1024\" height=\"588\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/texas-lawmaker-james-talarico-discusses-120628209.jpg\" alt=\"James Talarico speaking.\" class=\"wp-image-38418610\"  \/>Talarico is battling Rep.
