HOUSTON \u2013 Ground stops that had been issued for Bush Intercontinental Airport as well as Hobby Airport have been lifted. <\/p>\n

According to the FAA website<\/a>, both ground stops were due to issues with staffing.<\/p>\n

The ground stop at Hobby was scheduled to go until 5:45 p.m., but it was lifted several minutes early. The ground stop at Bush lifted shortly before 6:30 p.m.<\/p>\n

Houston Airport System officials confirm the ground stop at Hobby was due to staffing issues.<\/p>\n

The FAA released this statement on the staffing issues:<\/p>\n

\u201cAs Secretary Duffy has said, there have been increased staffing shortages across the system. When that happens, the FAA slows traffic into some airports to ensure safe operations.\u201d<\/p>\n
