Texas A&M<\/a> women’s tennis advanced to the quarterfinals of the ITA Indoor Championship with a 4-2 victory over the No. 12 Vanderbilt Commodores at Atkins Tennis Center in Urbana, Illinois, on Friday.<\/p>\n The Aggies<\/a> wasted no time scoring early and often, as they captured two of three courts to score the opening point over the Commodores. Vanderbilt’s tandem of Bridget Stammel and Valeria Ray bounced back for the Dores, but Texas A&M clinched the last doubles point on court 3.<\/p>\n Entering singles, the Maroon and White kept their momentum going for a dominant performance against Vandy, notching four wins. All three of the Aggies’ singles wins came against opponents ranked inside the ITA top 60.<\/p>\n Singles:<\/p>\n No. 46 Mia Kupres (A&M) def.
