FBI officials said they are preparing to post billboard ads in Houston seeking information about the whereabouts of the mother of “Today” show host Savannah\u00a0Guthrie who has been\u00a0missing for more than a week.<\/p>\n
Nancy Guthrie was reported missing Feb. 1 after she did not show up for church. She was last seen entering her Tucson, Ariz., home after being dropped off by a family member the night before,\u00a0according to a report by PBS.<\/a> Authorities said they believed that Nancy\u00a0Guthrie, 84, was taken against her will after investigators found signs of forced entry at Guthrie’s home, PBS reported.<\/p>\n ON PUBLIC SAFETY: Houston-area police step up Gulf Freeway DWI, traffic enforcement for Mardi Gras in Galveston<\/a><\/p>\n After more than a week of investigating, FBI officials said they would be putting up billboards around Texas, including in the Houston area, El Paso, San Antonio and Dallas, as well as in other Southwest cities, officials told CNN.<\/a> The billboards will include a photo of Nancy Guthrie, as well as a detailed description and the number to the \u00a0FBI tip line.<\/p>\n The digital billboard program was created by the agency in 2007, according to the FBI’s website.<\/a><\/p>\n On Feb. 7,\u00a0Savannah Guthrie and her two siblings posted a video on social media pleading directly with their mother’s alleged abductor or abductors, acknowledging to have received a message and that the family was willing to pay for Nancy’s safe return, according to an article by CBS News.<\/a> <\/p>\n Authorities told CBS News that investigators were “developing good information” but that “nothing is imminent.”<\/p>\n
