We\u2019ll warm back up quickly this afternoon back to the 80s and 90s under mainly sunny skies. Looking ahead to the end of the week, moisture moves in on Thursday ahead of a slow-moving upper low. This will bring a chance of showers and storms, with rain chances increasing Thursday night and peaking on Friday and Saturday.<\/p>\n

1.\u00a0Young conservatives say they\u2019re shaping the future of the Republican Party<\/a><\/p>\n

The murder of conservative activist and Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk mobilized young conservatives in numbers never seen by Javon Evans.<\/p>\n

Evans oversees the Gulf Coast region of Club America, a branch of Turning Point that helps high schoolers start clubs focused on constitutional liberties, free-market capitalism and limited government.<\/p>\n

Austin Mayor Kirk Watson and Travis County Judge Andy Brown have issued\u00a0disaster declarations<\/a>\u00a0following Gov. Greg Abbott renewing the\u00a0statewide disaster declaration<\/a>\u00a0due to elevated fire weather conditions. According to the City of Austin, disaster declarations allow governments to begin implementing mitigation efforts and organize behind the scenes to prepare for the response and recovery phases, if a disaster does occur.\u00a0<\/p>\n
