This year&#8217;s Bad Bunny performance featured so much- walking sugar cane, an actual wedding, pava hats and Concho the frog. But there was one moment that instantly stuck out to me, and to many El Pasoans I&#8217;m sure.<\/p>\n<p>Bad Bunny didn\u2019t just deliver a halftime show, he delivered a core childhood memory.<br \/>During the Bad Bunny Halftime Show, one quick scene stole the spotlight: a kid asleep across a row of folding chairs at a wedding reception. And if you\u2019re from El Paso? You didn\u2019t just see it, you probably lived it!<\/p>\n<p>El Paso Knows the Folding Chair Wedding Nap<\/p>\n<p>If you grew up in El Paso, chances are you\u2019ve fallen asleep at a wedding, quincea\u00f1era, or family party at least once in your life.<\/p>\n<p>Maybe it was at your cousin\u2019s quince. Maybe it was at a backyard wedding with a DJ blasting cumbia past midnight. Maybe it was after three plates of rice, beans, and cake. You grabbed two or three metal folding chairs, lined them up, and passed out under fluorescent lights while the adults danced like it was 1999 (it probably was!)<\/p>\n<p>Bad Bunny\u2019s Halftime Wedding Scene Hit El Paso Hard<\/p>\n<p>The second that sleeping kid flashed across the screen during the halftime wedding scene, social media lit up, and for us El Pasoans, it felt deeply relatable.<\/p>\n<p>This borderland city lives for family celebrations. Weddings aren\u2019t short. Quincea\u00f1eras don\u2019t end early. And parties definitely don\u2019t shut down just because the kids are tired.<\/p>\n<p>Bad Bunny didn\u2019t just stage a party scene. He recreated a cultural experience so many of us grew up with. It wasn\u2019t glamorous. It wasn\u2019t aesthetic.
