Craig Road construction<\/p>\n<p>Project: The <a href=\"https:\/\/communityimpact.com\/dallas-fort-worth\/prosper-celina\/transportation\/2026\/01\/29\/check-out-10-transportation-projects-in-prosper-celina\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">project<\/a> will construct a three-lane road from Preston Road to First Street.<\/p>\n<p>Update: The project is in the design phase and expected to start construction later this summer.<\/p>\n<p>Timeline: summer 2026-winter 2027Cost: $5.09 millionFunding source: town of ProsperDenton County <\/p>\n<p>2. Teel Parkway widening<\/p>\n<p>Project:<\/p>\n<p> The <a href=\"https:\/\/communityimpact.com\/dallas-fort-worth\/frisco\/transportation\/2026\/01\/29\/check-out-12-transportation-projects-in-frisco\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">project<\/a> will widen Teel Parkway from a two-lane roadway to a four-lane divided roadway from Stafford Middle School to Olive Branch Road.<\/p>\n<p>Update: The project is expected to wrap up next year.<\/p>\n<p>Timeline: mid-2025-early 2027Cost: $9.36 millionFunding source: city of Frisco, external funding3. Parkway Street<\/p>\n<p>Project:<\/p>\n<p> <a href=\"https:\/\/communityimpact.com\/dallas-fort-worth\/denton\/transportation\/2026\/02\/02\/check-out-5-road-construction-project-updates-in-denton\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Work<\/a> on Parkway Street in <a href=\"https:\/\/gis.cityofdenton.com:9002\/Projects-StreetClosures\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Denton<\/a> includes reconstructing select streets and water and sewer lines. <\/p>\n<p>Update: Parkway Street is closed from Denton Street to Carroll Boulevard while crews install utilities and replace pavement.<\/p>\n<p>Timeline: The project is anticipated to finish Jan. 30, 2027Cost: $50 millionFunding source: city of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cityofdenton.com\/537\/2019-Bond-Program\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Denton<\/a>Tarrant County<\/p>\n<p>4. East Wall Street<\/p>\n<p>Project: <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/communityimpact.com\/dallas-fort-worth\/grapevine-colleyville-southlake\/transportation\/2026\/01\/30\/grapevine-council-approves-contract-to-widen-east-wall-street\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">East Wall Street<\/a>, west of Dooley Street to Austin Street, will have storm drainage installed to eliminate a ditch. Once the drainage improvements are complete, the city will have a contractor construct a 31-foot-wide curb and gutter street with sidewalks from Dooley Street to Austin Street in Grapevine.<\/p>\n<p>Update: Grapevine City Council approved a contract with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wrightconst.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Wright Construction Co.<\/a> to do the work on Jan. 20.<\/p>\n<p>Timeline: Work started the week of Feb. 2 and will take six weeks to complete.Cost: $182,995.50Funding source: city of Grapevine5. Bedford Road bridge <\/p>\n<p>Project: <\/p>\n<p>Work includes elevating Bedford Road out of the Little Bear Creek floodplain between Somerset Boulevard and Saddlebrook Drive in Colleyville.<\/p>\n<p>Update: Colleyville City Council approved a preliminary design contract with Halff Associates, Inc. at the Feb. 3 council meeting.<\/p>\n<p>Timeline: Preliminary designs are expected to take six months to complete.Cost: $313,400Funding source: city of Colleyville<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Stay updated on five road projects around Dallas-Fort Worth.
