The waterpark shared the news on Friday, February 6, calling the decision \u201cheartfelt\u201d and thanking the community for more than a decade of support.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSince opening our gates in 2012, Hurricane Alley has been a place for sunshine, laughter, first rides, big splashes, and even bigger memories,\u201d the announcement read. \u201cNone of that would have been possible without our incredible community.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As the park prepares to shut down, officials said guests who purchased 2026 season passes will automatically receive refunds to the original form of payment. Anyone with questions about refunds is encouraged to contact the park at info@hacctx.com.<\/p>\n<p>Community reaction poured in quickly, with many expressing sadness and frustration in the comments.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m sad to hear it\u2019s closing. This comes in handy because a lot of families are on a budget, and this place is affordable to many families. So sad,\u201d Susan Lichtenberger wrote.<\/p>\n<p>Others echoed similar sentiments, calling the park a staple for locals.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe really hate to see you go. It was a nice go-to for locals,\u201d Mandy Renfro commented.<\/p>\n<p>Some residents worried about what remains for families seeking summer activities in the city.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhhaaaaaat no way!!! Now we have nothing,\u201d Miranda Matocha wrote.<\/p>\n<p>Another commenter noted the broader trend of closures in the area.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo sad. Another one bites the dust. I can\u2019t understand why good things leave CC,\u201d Linda Hand wrote.<\/p>\n<p>The closure news came amid another loss for the local business community.
