PLANO, Texas \u2014 A national brewery chain has closed one of its North Texas locations.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Voodoo Brewing Co. announced the closure of its Downtown Plano location in the 1000 block of 14th Street, effective Sept. 30, in a post on social media.\u00a0<\/p>\n
“It\u2019s with heavy hearts that we share this news: Voodoo Brewing Co. \u2013 Plano will be closing our doors,” the post read. “This is not the way we imagined this chapter ending, but despite pouring everything we had into this brewpub, we simply cannot continue.”<\/p>\n
The news comes a bit over a year after Voodoo Brewing Co.\u00a0opened in Downtown Plano<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n “We are deeply grateful for every person who walked through our doors. Our goal was to bring great beer, good food, and unforgettable vibes to Downtown Plano \u2013 and thanks to you, we got so much more. We built friendships, memories, and a community that we\u2019ll never forget,” Voodoo Brewing Co.’s post continued.\u00a0<\/p>\n The news of the closure was first reported by the Houston Chronicle<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n Voodoo Brewing Co., a national chain founded in 2005, has locations in College Station, Lewisville and Prosper in Texas. The chain also has locations across the country, including in Pennsylvania, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Maryland, Ohio, South Carolina and Virginia.\u00a0<\/p>\n The news of the closure of Voodoo Brewing Co.’s Plano location comes after a difficult 2024 for the craft beer industry. Last year, 335 new breweries opened and 399 closed, according to the\u00a0Brewers’ Association<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n Earlier this year, Siren Rock Brewing Company<\/a> in Rockwall, a well-known brewery and beer garden, announced it’s closure earlier this year. Last year, Deep Ellum Brewing Co.<\/a> announced the closure of its taproom and brewhouse in Deep Ellum.\u00a0<\/p>\n
