This year\u2019s No. 1 overall draft pick will have a lot of family in the crowd cheering him on.<\/p>\n
Flagg said playing in the NBA is still surreal. And while he admits he is nervous, the 18-year-old is confident in his new team.<\/p>\n
“We\u2019re all kind of just on the same page. And I think everything will work itself out if we all just lock in on being competitive and just trying to win as many games as possible. So I think that\u2019s the biggest thing is just locking in on that and not really worrying about expectations or pressure or anything like that and just playing to the best that we can.”<\/p>\n
Coach Kidd will be handing over the keys to his 18-year old superstar… Where he’ll be expected to take the wheel and drive. Fortunately for Cooper Flagg, he’ll have a bunch of veteran passengers along for the ride with him.<\/p>\n “When you look at those wisdom players of AD, Ky, Klay, trying to help him understand. We have three No. 1 picks. Understanding that they might be able to share their story because they\u2019re a little bit closer in age.
