This morning, Sheriff Joseph Roybal joined members of the El Paso County Sheriff\u2019s Office, the Colorado Springs Police Department, Colorado State Patrol, Manitou Springs Police Department, and Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) Colorado during the 20th Annual Ken Jordan Awards Ceremony, an event honoring exceptional DUI enforcement efforts by law enforcement professionals across the Pikes Peak region.<\/p>\n

The ceremony commemorates the life and service of Ken Jordan, a Colorado Springs Police officer who was tragically killed in December 2006 during a traffic stop involving an impaired driver. Officer Jordan\u2019s sacrifice remains a powerful reminder of the risks law enforcement faces and the critical importance of impaired-driving enforcement.<\/p>\n
