{"id":159175,"date":"2026-02-11T00:23:17","date_gmt":"2026-02-11T00:23:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/159175\/"},"modified":"2026-02-11T00:23:17","modified_gmt":"2026-02-11T00:23:17","slug":"2-09m-construction-project-set-for-custer-road-in-plano","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/159175\/","title":{"rendered":"$2.09M construction project set for Custer Road in Plano"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\tA section of Custer Road in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.plano.gov\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Plano<\/a> is set for more than $2 million in road work.<\/p>\n<p>What you need to know<\/p>\n<p>Plano City Council approved a $2.09 million contract with R&amp;A Legacy Construction LLC during its Feb. 9 meeting.<\/p>\n<p>The project will include arterial concrete repairs from SH 121 to Hedgcoxe Road, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/plano.novusagenda.com\/agendapublic\/CoverSheet.aspx?ItemID=10572&amp;MeetingID=3668\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">city documents<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Crews will repair an estimated 17,600 square yards of concrete along the road, along with 12,500 square feet of sidewalk and 25 barrier-free ramps.<\/p>\n<p>What else<\/p>\n<p>Construction on a section of Custer Road south of the upcoming project has been ongoing since last February, as the North Texas Municipal Water District has been <a href=\"https:\/\/communityimpact.com\/dallas-fort-worth\/plano-north\/transportation\/2025\/10\/03\/custer-road-undergoing-18m-infrastructure-rehabilitation-project-closures-through-2026\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">replacing the water main<\/a> from W. 15th St. to Renner Road in Richardson.<\/p>\n<p>That project is expected to finish in October, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/plano-tx.civilspace.io\/en\/projects\/ntmwd-custer-road-water-main-replacement-project\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">the city\u2019s website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;&gt;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A section of Custer Road in Plano is set for more than $2 million in road work.
