READ MORE: BENEATH THE CITY: THE RED CLOAKS OF EL PASO, PART ONE<\/a><\/p>\nAfter that night, we started looking for more signs, more symbols, more doors, and we found them. They weren\u2019t obvious. Some were half-buried in shadow, some painted over. But when you look close enough, you start to see a pattern forming, like a secret map drawn across the bones of downtown. Each door marked with subtle shapes or lines, just enough for someone who knows what to look for.<\/p>\n
We followed the markings through a few alleys until one led us somewhere unexpected. With the help of a friend, we gained access to one of the sealed basement doors downtown. The kind of door that, according to the city\u2019s records, shouldn\u2019t exist. What we found past it defied what I thought I knew about this city. I will leave a few photos here in this update but I wont share all of our findings just yet because I don’t want to reveal everywhere we’ve been until I have more concrete evidence for you.<\/p>\n
The Hidden Tunnels Beneath Downtown El Paso<\/p>\n
El Paso\u2019s official documents claim that every underground passage has either collapsed or been sealed off for safety reasons. Foundation walls supposedly stop where the buildings above them end. But I\u2019ve been down there now. I\u2019ve seen the walls with my own eyes and the locked metal doors built into them. Doors that lead somewhere else, deeper into the city\u2019s underbelly.<\/p>\n
The walls looked newer than the rest of the foundation, cracked and layered like they were built over something even older. And behind them, the tunnels kept going. Where they went, I couldn\u2019t say. We didn\u2019t stay long enough to find out. Investigator insisted we turn back after hearing footsteps echoing from somewhere beyond the dark.<\/p>\n
Still, I know what I saw. These tunnels are connected. Someone is using them. And if the Red Cloaks are involved, that means they\u2019ve had access to these hidden pathways for a long time.<\/p>\n
Strange Sightings and Warnings After Our Discovery<\/p>\n
Since publishing the first article, I\u2019ve noticed cars I don\u2019t recognize parked near my home in the mornings. A white SUV that never seems to move. A dark sedan that appears behind me on my way to work, then vanishes once I hit I-10. It\u2019s subtle enough that I could dismiss it if it weren\u2019t happening almost every day.<\/p>\n
I\u2019ve also started getting messages from readers claiming they want to \u201cjoin the investigation.\u201d I\u2019m not answering those messages. I can\u2019t. Investigator stays anonymous for a reason, and I\u2019m starting to understand why. This isn\u2019t a scavenger hunt or an ARG. This is real, and it feels like we\u2019re getting close to something that people don\u2019t want uncovered.<\/p>\n
We found evidence leading us to a long-abandoned building near the heart of downtown, one that might serve as a gathering place for the Red Cloaks. That\u2019s where we\u2019ll go next. I have photos of the passages we entered and symbols we discovered, which I\u2019ll reveal in our next update once it\u2019s safe to share.<\/p>\n

Until then, if you see anyone cloaked in red walking the streets after midnight, keep your distance. Keep your information. And trust no one.<\/p>\n
Investigator and I will keep digging. The tunnels are real, the symbols are real, and whatever\u2019s happening beneath downtown El Paso, it’s been under our feet for for a long time.<\/p>\n
