Change follows as a weather system will move into the KCBD\/FOX34 viewing area late in the week. It is expected to bring rain, perhaps a few thunderstorms, and significantly different weather for Valentine\u2019s Day.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Today\u2019s Rain<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">No rain was reported today at the Lubbock Airport. The afternoon will bring highs in the 70s. Once again, that is about 20 degrees above average for the season. High clouds will limit the sunshine a bit and a southwest breeze will ramp up to around 10 to 15 mph.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Rain and Possibly Thunderstorms<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Friday is when the weather changes significantly. Expect mostly cloudy skies with a slight chance of showers in the morning, with rain showers likely in the afternoon. There may be the rumble of thunder, too. At this time, we don\u2019t expect any severe weather.
