Penske Entertainment Vice-Chair Greg Penske \u201cwants IndyCar to race through the streets of Arlington for years to come\u201d and believes that he \u201cknows what it takes to make the event a mainstay\u201d in Texas, according to Lawrence Dow of the FORT WORTH STAR-TELEGRAM. The inaugural Java House GP of Arlington<\/a>, which is on March 15, uses a 2.73-mile temporary street circuit with 14 corners that will run through Arlington, including around AT&T Stadium, Globe Life Field and Choctaw Stadium. Penske said they \u201chope this could be a Long Beach Grand Prix,\u201d which has been there for 50 years. He added with IndyCar, plus the city of Arlington and other partners, \u201cwe want to make this an annual event.\u201d Penske said people need to \u201ccome here and say, \u2018Wow, had a great event, had a great time.\u2019\u201d Penske said that he hopes the event \u201ccan grow similarly\u201d to how F1 has expanded in Austin. He added that the Cowboys and Texas Rangers \u201chave been tremendous partners in the event.\u201d IndyCar\u2019s return to the Dallas-Fort Worth area is its first time since 2023 following more than two decades at Texas Motor Speedway.
