In a twist worthy of a giallo thriller, the owner of Southtown\u2019s La Focaccia Italian Grill hasn\u2019t permanently shuttered his 30-year-old restaurant after all. <\/p>\n

In a Facebook post<\/a> shared roughly a week after the Jan. 31 closure of his eatery<\/a>, owner Luigi \u201cDomenic\u201d\u00a0Ciccarelli announced that what he\u2019d first described as a permanent exit for his retirement was, in fact, just a short break.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe recently paused operations while exploring the sale of the restaurant and, although that transaction did not move forward one thing became clear: this restaurant is home, both to us and to so many of you,\u201d the post said. \u201cWe are excited to continue the tradition and welcome you back.\u201d <\/p>\n

La Focaccia began serving again this Wednesday, Ciccarelli said, thanking customers for their loyalty and support. <\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019ll find the classic Italian dishes you\u2019ve loved for decades, the familiar atmosphere, and the warm hospitality that has always defined our restaurant,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

And in case anyone wondered, the restaurant has since shared three Facebook announcements that it\u2019s open for Valentine\u2019s Day. <\/p>\n
