{"id":163692,"date":"2026-02-13T21:01:06","date_gmt":"2026-02-13T21:01:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/163692\/"},"modified":"2026-02-13T21:01:06","modified_gmt":"2026-02-13T21:01:06","slug":"borderland-business-leaders-propose-new-binational-tram-to-connect-el-paso-and-juarez-airports","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/163692\/","title":{"rendered":"Borderland business leaders propose new binational tram to connect El Paso and Ju\u00e1rez airports"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>JU\u00c1REZ, Chihuahua (KVIA) &#8212; The Northern Economic Development Civil Association in Ju\u00e1rez (DENAC, Desarrollo Econ\u00f3mico del Norte A.C.) is a Mexican firm that has been proposing the &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.juarezelpasotram.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Ju\u00e1rez-El Paso Express Tram<\/a>,&#8221; a cross-border tramway that would directly connect El Paso International Airport with Abraham Gonz\u00e1lez International Airport in Ju\u00e1rez for those wishing to travel from both sides of the border.<\/p>\n<p>The project is currently in its early planning stages, so for now it is just an idea\/ However, DENAC business leaders believe it could boost business, travel and tourism in the border region.<\/p>\n<p>DENAC officials told ABC-7 that the project aims to provide travelers with safer and faster transportation between airports and flights, facilitating access to more than 26 destinations in the United States, Mexico and other countries.<\/p>\n<p>The mayor of Ju\u00e1rez, Cruz P\u00e9rez Cu\u00e9llar, has previously expressed his enthusiasm for the &#8220;super hub&#8221; concept.
